Shopping at a warehouse club can really wear you out, from pacing up and down the endless rows of products to hauling all those shopping bags of bulk back to your car.
Costco has started rolling out delivery services, including two-day delivery of dry groceries and same-day delivery for groceries, including fresh foods.
CostcoGrocery, the new two-day, countrywide online delivery service, is available for dry products, like all those snacks and sodas you stock your pantry with. With CostcoGrocery, delivery is free for orders over $75.
The same-day delivery service (powered through Instacart) is available in most metro areas and offers thousands of products like fresh meat, eggs and veggies. While it’s definitely the speediest option, it’s not the savviest; Costco notes that prices offered on products through Instacart are typically 15 to 17 percent higher than the warehouse walk-in price, and you’ll also get slapped with a 10 percent service fee at checkout. Shoppers can also expect a delivery fee for orders under $35. EEK.
Another drawback of getting your Costco groceries delivered right to your door? Missing out on those scrumptious free samples. Yum.
